1. January 2023:
👉Minimum gross wage in the economy increases to 3000 lei.
👉The pension point increases to 1785 lei from 1586 lei on 1 January 2023.
👉Micro-enterprise threshold will be reduced from a turnover of €1,000,000 to €500,000 from 2023, the 3% tax rate will be eliminated and the requirement for micro-enterprises to have at least one employee has been introduced.
👉Tax on dividend income increases from 5% to 8%.
👉Other changes in the tax area concern the increase of the reduced VAT rate from 5% to 9% for hotel accommodation and restaurant and catering services, and from 9% to 19% for non-alcoholic beverages containing added sugar. At the same time, a reduced VAT rate of 5% will be applied for the purchase of a single dwelling whose value does not exceed 600,000 lei.
👉The government will not extend the 50 bani fuel price compensation measure, but is ready to apply it again if "prices will evolve beyond the purchasing power" of citizens.
